Description
Why Favorite Illusion? Because we all have our favorite illusions that make us feel better.
The artwork Favorite Illusion XVII is a part of the Frame Series.
The frame is usually perceived as something inflexible and with a purely decorative function, but in this series, it is a concept that tells a story.
If the frame were removed, the painting/sculpture would be destroyed.
It is a very important element of the artwork because it follows the complexity of the form. It also gives an impression of three-dimensional form (optical illusion), but it is actually a flat painting.
The technique used is acrylic on canvas. The canvas was pressed to a solid board and framed in a pearl-wood frame. The acrylic colors used are pearl and silver, cobalt and light blue.
